Create, Start, Stop, Restart

A container can be created without starting, started later, stopped, restarted, killed, paused, inspected, and removed. Understanding these states is important when debugging deployments.

stop asks the main process to terminate gracefully, while kill sends a stronger signal. rm removes a stopped container. Use --rm for disposable development containers.
